Further, the wallet is controlled by a single individual, and not FFmpeg.
ffmpeg is not an organization nor registered group. it cannot own anything because it is not a legal entity.
much like everything in the project, parts of ffmpeg are owned by individual developers.

You know perfectly well this wallet could be converted to USD and sent to SPI but is being held as bitcoin purely out of ideological beliefs.

I would recommend all FFmpeg developers read about why stablecoins are a bad idea from actual economists, not Youtube economists: https://archive.ph/6Ku7u
yes ffmpeg discussing economics, that was sooooooooooooo needed (i do agree about youtube finance though its 99.99% criminal) Heres the summary of the article btw: "Top central bankers ..." ... would loose their job ... so they write an article about it Let me NOT link to anything just state in 2 sentences why stablecoins are good 1. You can get 4% risk free interrest on them because they are backed by goverment bonds or other low risk assets. 2. Outside the "western world" you still have access to them, no need for a bank account, proofing credit worthyness, your local dictator confiscating half your money or hyperinflation taking its value away. thx [...] -- Michael GnuPG fingerprint: 9FF2128B147EF6730BADF133611EC787040B0FAB What is money laundering? Bringing things back on topic, Micheal do you approve the removal of this file given the controversy and "worsening message"/"hostility" it spurred? Or are you accepting the leader position in which you make an executive decision? To be clear, either are fine, it just would just be good to clear the air and have more clarity on this item.
