Hi, in case ffmpeg is accepted as project in this years soc I would like to participate. Where do I register for one of the qualification tasks? I started taking a look at the vivo demuxer already. Regards Sascha

AFAIK, there is no formal registration. This mail was probably enough as an informal registration. You may also post about your intentions on ffmpeg-devel so that all developpers are aware. You may also specify which SoC project you would be most interested in. But the only important thing is that you post a qualification patch (and get it accepted) on ffmpeg-devel ! Aurel
I had picked up this task of VIVO. There is a problem for you (sascha) develop it also? Marcondes Ricarte

Did you do some coding already? I have the video demultiplexing working but I think I could also do another qualification task. Maybe extending ffmpegs g726 decoder to support vivoaudio, too. If this is accepted as qualification task. Regards Sascha

a vivoaudio decoder would make a fine qualification task. -compn

Argh, I was hoping you could be a mentor for a Cook encoder based on the G.722.1 specs... I'll have to dig deeper to write out a more concrete project about how I'd go about implementing it, though. Ramiro Polla

Given that I never was much of a ffmpeg developer I'm not sure if I'm qualified to be a mentor. Also I haven't looked at the cook sources since maybe 2003. Regards Sascha
