If you look at one of the 2 360° streams, then ffmpeg's aac decoder errors, because the encoder seems to have used some still unknown features. I'll leave it as defect though for now, since I can't be sure. The audio plays fine in VLC and AIMP. FFmpeg still shows errors when I try to copy again, after downloading and saving. When trying to copy the stream with ffmpeg it fails. When trying to transcode the stream with ffmpeg it succeeds. How to reproduce: Download the file ffmpeg_report.zip and unpack it. Inside the folderm the original file is called 'multicat.ts'. Run the bash script "copy.sh" to produce a copy of the file named 'copy.ts' (the bad file) Run the bash script "transcode.sh" to produce a transcoded variant of the file named "transcoded.ts" (the good file) Expected behaviour: The copy.sh bash script should produce a file in similar size to the original multicat.ts file and be playable with video players. Named pipes aren't really files, they're more like a listening server socket, so this prompt makes no sense. How to reproduce: First, listen to a new named pipe. This is outside the scope of this issue, but [https://stackoverflow.com/a/32172145/26286 this StackOverflow answer] shows how to listen via NodeJS, for example. After corresponding with the author of my music player app, I decided to create a small test suite to investigate. https://github.com/akerbos/OGGvAMF It seems that ffmpeg creates files with mimetype `video/x-theora+ogg` which trips up AMF so much it won't play the files. I apologize for not following your guidelines for reporting bugs; I don't have the time to work through them. I trust that the linked repository contains all you need to reproduce or confirm that the bug has been fixed since the version I used was current. When it does not work, I checked that the video.ts plays fine but the resulting video.mp4 won't play in either VLC or Windows media player. In VLC, I got this error: avcodec error: Could not open video.mp4: Unknown error In WMP: Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file. Perhaps a setting I am using is incompatible with another setting? Not sure if it is related but it seems to happen mostly on larger files (movies) and not on smaller files (episodes). So I cannot really upload a small file for you to check.
