That's perfectly valid, however ffmpeg's MPEG-TS muxer may stop emitting SDT/PAT/PMT tables. The issue was tracked down to `retransmit_si_info` method where two following comparisons are made: {{{ ... (dts != AV_NOPTS_VALUE && dts - ts->last_sdt_ts >= ts->sdt_period*90000.0) ... if (dts != AV_NOPTS_VALUE) ts->last_sdt_ts = FFMAX(dts, ts->last_sdt_ts); ... Debug output shows a large number of "cur_dts is invalid" messages and "dropping frame 0" messages. Removing -copyts produces valid video. I am trying to downmix a 5.1 audio to 2.0 (stereo) using the audio resampler filter "matrix_encoding=dplii". The resulting stereo audio presents some audio level bias towards the right speaker when there is more than one active channel on the surround stream. That is, it seems that the audio volume on the right speaker is higher than it should be. This is, of course, using a test signal where all surround channels produce the same sound at the same volume. The same point in time on the resulting DPL-II downmixed shows a "higher volume" on the right speaker. This effect is even more noticeable by 22 seconds when they change the test signal. It is interesting to note that in the initial seconds of the file, when a male's voice is announcing each channel individually, I could not notice this right speaker bias. The channel downmixing in that segment sounds correct. This effect is very noticeable on sound tracks with very active surround channels, they all seem to be stronger on the right speaker. Also note that format=yuv420p and format=yuv411p both work properly. So this is not a generic problem with the YUV to RGB color space conversion, rather this seems to be specifically related to yuv410p. Converting from yuv410p to yuv420p seems to also be broken, but differently. Proposed switch: "-toeof", like "-sseof" but for stopping point instead of beginning point. Background: I have ripped SACD audio tracks with extraneous loud noises at the last few hundred milliseconds of each track, and want to chop off that duration from the end of each file as part of a batch process.
