#6212(undetermined:new): Memory leak on Ubuntu 16.04

#6212: Memory leak on Ubuntu 16.04 -------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Reporter: alqemyst | Type: defect Status: new | Priority: critical Component: | Version: git- undetermined | master Keywords: | Blocked By: Blocking: | Reproduced by developer: 0 Analyzed by developer: 0 | -------------------------------------+------------------------------------- I'm trying to run ffmpeg on Ubuntu 16.04, libc6-dev 2.23-0ubuntu5 amd64. There is a memory leak that is according to my tests related to pthreads. If I fully transcode video and audio process can go up to 1GB of memory usage in an hour. Tested with following command: ffmpeg -loglevel error -i "udp://239.250.15.1:5004?fifo_size=1000000&overrun_nonfatal=1" -ignore_unknown -sn -c:v copy -c:a copy -f null - Valgrind with --leak-check=full --show-leak-kinds=all doesn't show too much in my opinion. When ffmpeg is compiled with --disable-pthreads memory is stable for hours. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.ffmpeg.org/ticket/6212> FFmpeg <https://ffmpeg.org> FFmpeg issue tracker

#9158(undetermined:new): DVD language metadata

#9158: DVD language metadata -------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Reporter: sceedy | Type: | enhancement Status: new | Priority: wish Component: | Version: undetermined | unspecified Keywords: | Blocked By: Blocking: | Reproduced by developer: 0 Analyzed by developer: 0 | -------------------------------------+------------------------------------- I apologise if this is a duplicate, but I did search “language metadata” before raising this. I would like DVD audio and subtitle metadata to be extracted from the VOB file (colour palette is already extracted for DVD subtitles). Attachment DVDLangugeMetadata.zip contains DVDLangugeMetadata.c and DVDLangugeMetadata.h which contains the code I have been using for approximately 11 months in an program I wrote. You are free to ignore, use or modify this code in any way you feel fit. The advantage is it is a “compile and go” bolt on to the existing ffmpeg libraries public API. The disadvantage is my code’s API assumes knowledge of the structures used for input and output because it is not integrated into the codecs. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.ffmpeg.org/ticket/9158> FFmpeg <https://ffmpeg.org> FFmpeg issue tracker

#10671: [Android] MediaCodec h264 decoder fails on 10-bit input ('This is a bug, please report it' in output) -------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Reporter: bubbleguuum | Type: defect Status: new | Priority: normal Component: avcodec | Version: | unspecified Keywords: | Blocked By: Blocking: | Reproduced by developer: 0 Analyzed by developer: 0 | -------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Using custom Android FFmpeg 6.1 build on Pixel 4a. Decoding a 10-bit h264 file (yuv420p10le) with MediaCodec fails with a "This is a bug, please report it" trace, hence this report. I suppose it fails because 10-bit is not supported by h264_mediacodec. Ideally it should bail out immediately on this error but it does not. There is also a "FORTIFY: pthread_mutex_lock called on a destroyed mutex" warning at the end.
