I try to open a file, and i get an out of memory, when i see util.c in libavformat, i see : fmt->priv_data_size, where it assigned / defined ? i do a printf and i see fmt->priv_data_size = 615 mB, but my file do 3.6 mB an idea ? brice. -- Brice Rouanet I.N.S.A. hi all i'm trying to install ffmpeg, but i'm having problems with image formats i'm using the latest cvs build but when i run ffmpeg -formats all i see under image formats is gif where are the rest? how do i get the rest? thanks dave

Hi,i try to compile ffmpeg 0.4.9 (web site realese) with gcc 4 and i got some errors, but it work with gcc 3 versions. problem to find lib3lam-0.dll after compiled in mingw

I have installed the latest version of lame, and then ffmpeg-CVS (configure with --enable-mp3lame --enable-shared --enable-memalign-hack), and everything seems OK until I tried to run it under DOS prompt: ffmpeg.exe poppes up a message saying: This application has failed to start because libmp3lame-0.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. I have tried re-installing a couble of times, and I can see the file "libmp3lame-0.dll" is in msys\1.0\local\bin as well as \msys\1.0\bin, I also tried manually copying it into MinGW\bin, outside msys, but nothing change. So, where this file is supposed to be found? Thanks in advance Xiaogang

My first time with ffserver. I ran ffserver -f doc/ffserver.conf and I've got a Logitech webcam showing up on dev/video0 verified working with other programs. converting from vob to mp4

I am trying to convert a vob file into a mp4 file using mpeg4 video codec with pcm audio. Here is the ffmpeg command. ffmpeg -i AAAA.VOB -sameq -vcodec mpeg4 -acodec pcm_s16le AAAA.mp4 However, the audio of the output file wasn't get converted correctly. It is filled with noise signals rather than the original music. The video was mostly OK but it appears to be freeze from time to time. Can anyone in this group give me some idea about what might has went wrong in my command or my configuration. I configure ffmpeg with its built-in setting. Thanks, Carol
