I'm using the most current CVS, and my configure command looks like: ./configure --enable-shared \ --enable-mp3lame \ --enable-pthreads I'm using lame version 3.96.1 I'm doing all this on a dual Xenon server running RedHat Enterprise Linux ES release 3 -Wes -----Original Message----- From: ffmpeg-user-bounces at mplayerhq.hu [mailto:ffmpeg-user-bounces at mplayerhq.hu] On Behalf Of Mike Melanson Sent: Tuesday, April 19, 2005 2:25 PM To: FFMpeg user questions and RTFMs Subject: Re: [Ffmpeg-user] FLV & Audio Wes Widner wrote: > I've been racking my brain for the past 2 days trying to get ffmpeg to > convert various videos (mpeg, avi, mov) to flv. Make sure you are using the latest CVS, of course. Further, when building FFmpeg, be sure to enable MP3 encoding via the external library. I think that FFmpeg presently only supports MP3 audio in FLV files. Hope this helps... -- -Mike Melanson _______________________________________________ ffmpeg-user mailing list ffmpeg-user at mplayerhq.hu http://mplayerhq.hu/mailman/listinfo/ffmpeg-user

I've been racking my brain for the past 2 days trying to get ffmpeg to convert various videos (mpeg, avi, mov) to flv. They work as far as the video is concerned, but none of them seem to want to include the audio stream. Does anyone know how I can retain audio when converting to flv format? ffmpeg video & audio async
by ollo.diab＠gmx.de 19 Apr '05

Hi, I try to recode a mpeg file containing mpeg2video and AC3 audio using the following command: ffmpeg -i jlo.mpg -vcodec mpeg4 -acodec copy -aspect 16:9 -sameq -hq jlo2.avi It works fine, just in the output file the video seems to be faster then the audio. What happens while playing the jlo.avi file with mplayer the video & audio is in sync at the start, but drifts appart while the movie goes on. It is in sync in the original .mpg file. How can I sync video & audio properly? And a second question, I have a mpg movie containing multiple audio tracks. How can one copy over this tracks while recoding the video track? Mail archive ??

Hi all, I'm newly subscribed to the list, so before I ask any FAQ's or talk on already highly discussed topics, I'd like to search the ffmpeg-user mail archive. Apart from the current month as seen here, does one exist ? http://mplayerhq.hu/pipermail/ffmpeg-user/ This could be my fading memory playing tricks, but I seem to recall some time ago there being an archive on sourceforge.net, that now seems to be deleted. TIA, Rick

reduce the time delay

The delay is configurable within the client settings, but there will always be some delay due to encoding, propagation and stream setup delay. Different clients watching the same "Live" stream will often exhibit different delays.
