I have a windows mobile phone and I cannot make my videos the same as my phone. I have some samples of things that work and don't work but the output that my phone produces is http://rob- campbell.com/downloads/VIDEO_00001.txt and http://rob- campbell.com/downloads/VIDEO_00002.txt the .mp4 and the .avi files are there also. I have tried ffmpeg -i video.avi -vcodec mpeg4 -ar 8000 -ac 1 -r 30 -y downloads/Scrubs.3gp and that file plays but the quality isn't that great.
