Hi all, I?m trying to build a 3gp with h.264 codec. (How) Can I define Profiles and levels in ffmpeg for h264. I saw a post in another forum where someone used -vlevel 13 to encode to level 1.3 but that option doesn?t work for me. Does ffmpeg use the Baseline-Profile as default profile? pushing content to a server

List members, I have experience in installing helix servers. We have cases where the real producer box is in a remote site , away from the helix box. The real producer box can push the encoded stream to the helix box to be served to users. Additionally this kind of a setup also became useful where the remote site did not have a fixed ip ( dynamic dns/router port forwarding not possible) and therefore had to push content to the helix box which had a fixed ip. 1. Latest version SVN not compiling (mpegvideo.o Error)

Hi, I have installed ffmpeg on a number of machines, and am fairly familiar with setup. However today, I attempted to install the latest version of ffmpeg from SVN on my machine and received the following error: mpegvideo.c:2571: sorry, unimplemented: called from here make[1]: *** [mpegvideo.o] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/ddong/ffmpeg/libavcodec' make: *** [lib] Error 2 This is the compile statement: ./configure --enable-shared --enable-mp3lame --enable-faad --enable-faac --enable-gpl totally clueless as to why standard installation would crap out like this. Also is there any way to search through all of the archives instead of having to drill down? Thanks for any help you can provide!

Hi all, Can any one please let me know how can i make modifications to ffmpeg source code. I want to encode a video file to mpeg4 simple profile level 0 but it sems that currently it does not support simple profile level 0. So i want to extend/modify the source code so that it can support level 0. Converting GIF to 3GP format

Hi all, I have a animated gif with 45 frames and playing 15 frames/second. A funny thing i notice is the program is interpreting my gif file as 5fps. I would like to convert to 3GP format with the following command line but i'm not getting the result. ffmpeg -i output.gif -r 15 -s 176x144 test.3gp Input #0, gif, from 'test.gif': Duration: N/A, bitrate: N/A Stream #0.0: Video: rawvideo, rgb24, 208x176, 5.00 fps(r) File 'testgif.3gp' already exists. Hi all, I try looking around in the site and it seems like i can't find the location of downloading ffmpeg? Can someone point to me where exactly to download it? Would like to download a binary version for Windows. Appreciate any help

How to stream with FFserver/FFMpeg so that ffMpeg does NOT re-encode

I have a video capture card that generate mpeg2 data. So I want to stream this with ffmpeg/ffserver without a re-encode since the board generates the data at the desired settings (not to mention the computer I'm running this on doesn't have the juice to re-encode in realtime). Is there a way I can get ffserver/ffmpeg to stream this correctly, without having it re-encode the stream? To test this in a basic setting, I'm trying to do it with a file like so: ffserver & ffmpeg -i fftest.mpg http://localhost:8090/test.ffm I've tried matching the settings in ffserver.conf for the stream with what my mpeg file was recorded with...however, ffmpeg still goes through the hassle of re-encoding. One thing to note as well, which is the source of another problem I will likely post on is, is when I run ffmpeg, it reports a number of "buffer underflow" errors. Then when I try and access the actual file from a remove machine, It doesn't work and gives me a bunch of "non monotype timestamps" errors. Any help with either of these problems: the forced non-reencode or the buffer underflow/non monotype errors would be fantastic. Finally, I'm using a pre-built binary which I got using apt-get install ffmpeg (I'm using Damn small linux which is based on debian). The actual version is 0.4.9-pre1, build 4747 Built on march 8, 2006. Thanks, Bryce

Hello folks, Reading same samples of command line on google I'vemet the -hq and -bitexact options in ffmpeg. I tryed to execute ./ffmpeg -h but these options arent in the switches list. Could you explain me what they are used for? I'm trying to get maximum quality in 3gp files I'm encoding from the avi format with ffmpeg, and when I was reading two pass command line samples I saw these two options. Animated GIF image quality..

I'm trying to create a GIFs from an MPG. The gif generation works, but the image quality is very low, the colors very splotchy.
