Dear all I'm getting errors when I tried to convert some .3g2, .mp4 files to SWF format. The output listings are given below. Please suggest me some solution. Seg fault 3gp->flv

Hello I am running ffmpeg on a debian. questions about performance tuning and enable-shared

I have an AMD x86_64. Should I use the --tune option, and would the syntax be --tune=x86_64, or some other syntax. What might that be, please? 2) When I have run ./configure with --enable-shared the Make bombs. Should I be adding some other options or switches (meaning..is it something I'm doing wrong?) and can you tell me what it is I need to do or is ffmpeg just not ready for --enable-shared with x86_64? ffplay outputs garbage [Newbie post]

Hi there, this is my first post to the list -- Hello world! I've just started adding video capabilities to my project using ffmpeg. Now I was fighting against a problem extracting the frames colors in order to send the colors to my rendering context (either OpenGL or SDL). However, I was having so much problems that I decided to verify the integrity of my originals. Now, these steps just came from my imagination, if there are better troubleshooting steps please let me know. So, this said, I have included a picture of xine playing my movie fine, and a picture of ffplay, playing it totally wrong. To me it looks either like a video sync problem or a problem with the gamma. As you can see, it is possible to discern shapes in the garbage colors from ffplay. I've tried doing conversions from the original movie to other formats, the original is mpeg1video and I tried converting it to mpeg2video (gives the exact same results, except for compression quality) and to flv. I believe that the problem is when converting to RGB or something like that, the main problem is that I'm not very good in dealing with video (I usually let the pros do it) and I'm not sure what I could do to help some of you find and fix the problem. Or maybe the problem is just on my side and I would just need to pass some parameter to ffplay to make it work. At this point, it's very sad I can't read anything with ffmpeg, and understanding is very difficult since the results I get are either wrong because of some internal problem or the results are wrong because of my manipulations. This is the output when opening the file in my own program, it looks fine to me. How reconstruct the frames with libavcodec...HELP!

Hi, someone can explain me how to reconstruct the frames decoded?I've coded a sequence of bitmap with mpeg4 and then decoded but the only good frames are the keyframes while the others are only difference. Is there a way to add these difference to the key frames to obtain the initial sequence? Thank's and regards. -- Riccardo Corona

RHEL3 problems

Hi All Wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction. I compiled ffmpeg on RHEL3 using ./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-mp3lame --enable-faac I had ensured that I already had the developer packages for lame and faac installed. The make seemed to work, and created an ffmpeg I could run. When I run it to convert an mpeg to wmv, it correctly detects the source, and then asks if I wish to overwrite the dest. When I reply "Y", I get: ffmpeg: relocation error: ffmpeg: undefined symbol: sws_getContext What I have also noticed is that when I do ffmpeg -version, it always shows "built on 24 Aug 2004 16:36:04.....", even though the date on the file is todays. VC-1 video sample clips

Hello, I have added VC-1 support to ffmpeg using the directions from web. I want to test the VC-1 decoder but cannot find a test clip to do it. If I give a wmv9 file as input it interprets it as wmv3 format. Quality settings when converting to Flash Video

The documentation gives me two options: - -sameq Same quality as input video - -hq High quality However I can't get the -hq switch to work, it is not recognized. When I use -sameq then the quality really seems to be the one of the input video, which also results in very large files, sometimes even larger as the input files. problem when converting avi to mpeg

Hi all I use ffmpeg.exe converting tool in my c# application to convert avi to mpeg. The avi files are captured using a c# directshow application. But after converting, the converted mpeg files play very fast. how can I make it to play with real speed. I changed fram rate also when converting, but couldn't succeeded.
