Using the mpegts functions

Hi to all I am trying to build an mpeg2 TS from a YUV sequence, but I don't find any way of using the mpegts functions of mpegtsenc.c, since there is no header file to include. How can I use these functions, or, if I can't, how can I build the transport stream? Theofilos PS: I have already managed to build an mpeg2 video out of the YUV sequence, so I already know how to use the mpeg2 encoder --------------------------------- All New Yahoo! Mail ? Hi, before doing something with a video, I first want to know the video stream's properties, and I think most others are also interested. The "official" way to do so would just be ffmpeg -i myvideo.mpeg Currently this gives something like [Banner] Input #0, mpeg, from 'myvideo.mpeg': Duration: 01:48:45.0, start: 0.000000, bitrate: 4636 kb/s Stream #0.0[0x1c0]: Audio: mp2, 44100 Hz, stereo, 128 kb/s Stream #0.1[0x1e0]: Video: mpeg2video, yuv420p, 640x384, 0 kb/s, 25.00 fps(r) Must supply at least one output file However, there is no quality ("q=n1-n2") information. Hi, As I am using the avcodec and avformat for decoding the mpeg4 streams, I have tested the libraries by opening a video file and decoded the frames and stored as .bmp image. But in my application, I am getting a buffer containing .m4v frame (not a file)and I don't know how to decode that frame using either av_open_input_file() or av_open_input_stream() functions as they require a file to be given as input. When creating a quicktime movie we can set the title by specifying - title "word word word". I was wondering if there was a way to specify the Publisher metadata as well?

Craig, Did you end up making this work? I've tried it myself - Using: ffmpeg2 -i $INPUT -acodec aac -ar 44100 -vcodec mpeg4 -b 64 -s 320x240 -aspect 4:3 $OUTPUT.mp4 I was able to make a mp4 that the N80's gallery recognised, and even generated a thumbnail for, but Realplayer reports 'Cannot open media file' when I try to actually play the thing. I knew that I could make a working mp4 with Quicktime, so I opened and converted the same file, and tried the converted version (worked fine). Comparing the two: Quicktime version: AAC, Stereo (L R), 44.100 kJz, 352 x 288, Millions ffmpeg version: , 352x288, Millions AAC, Stereo (L R), 44.100 kHz As you can see, Quicktime is obviously not expecting that video/audio order - see the comma at the start of the second info string. So I wonder if perhaps it's a problem with ffmpeg's ordering of the media components. I can't work out how to make it place the audio before the video, so I have no way of testing this..
