problems using vhook watermark

Hi guys , I'm trying to insert my logo in the video copression using ffmpef with vhook enable in compile configuration : I use this command # ffmpeg -i 9-10minuti.avi -vhook '/usr/lib/vhook/watermark.so -m 1 -f /usr/share/pixmaps/debian-logo.png ' -target dvd -acodec copy -b 600000 -s 720x576 test_logo2.avi The conversion became but I have some trouble: The image size is around 40 pixel x 40pixel but after the compression it's on all the video that it's 720x576 pixel. And another problem it's about the color , i try to use the original debian log that is in usr/share/pixmaps/debian-logo.png but I have a strange result , all the video it's pink! ffmpeg installation

Hi, I am trying to install ffmpeg on my windows Xp using MinGW and MSYS. I want to use ffmpeg on my visual studio 2005 to convert a video format to another.I tried to install fmpeg using the command ./conigure --enable-memalign-hack --enable-shared --disable-static. It takes lot of hours to configure.I am new to ffmpeg .Is it take lot of time to configure?. I have downloaded avcodec.dll and avformat.dll.Is these dll's can use in my vc++ to encode a video with out installing ffmpeg? and where can I get .lib ? Combining two http streams

I have two ip cameras that stream mjpeg images over http. As the images are coming in, I'd like to rotate them 90 degrees so that they're portrait and then stick them together into a single composite image that's now lanscape. In other words: Camera1: 640x480 image stream Camera2: 640x480 image stream rotate each image: Camera1.jpg -> 480x640 Camera2.jpg -> 480x640 combine the two: composite.jpg -> 960x640 and stream the composite out as a http mjpeg stream. Anyone know of any tools that can do this in real time? The two cameras stream at 20 fps and I don't have any control over that. --Yan

ffplay hangs at the end of an 'm2ts' stream

In trying to write a simple bash script to play sequential *.m2ts files, ffplay halts at the end of each file segment, requiring a manual intervention to continue to the next file in the series. Does anyone have any idea how to get around this? Thanks.

Confusion about mp4 and m4v

Hello all! I have a Video iPod and now, I want to transfer videos onto it with Amarok. I?ve read through the Amarok Forum and there is a thread saying that this works with videos in m4v format. Now, I googled a bit and I am confused now: I?ve read that m4v is actually mp4, only with another ending. But as I am not that deep into video formats, I though it might be a good idea to ask the specialists here. So any comments on this? setting frame rate for image2pipe

I'm trying to create a short movie using jpeg stills. I am capturing the stills at 6 FPS so I'd like to play them back at 6fps. ffmpeg -vcodec mjpeg -f image2pipe -i - -y -b 1024k -vcodec wmv2 file.wmv I'm finding that the recordings play back at what appears to be 25 or 30 fps. I've tried ffmpeg -vcodec mjpeg -f image2pipe -i - -y -b 1024k -vcodec wmv2 -r 6 file.wmv but that results in only 6 frames being captured. Can I set the playback framerate for flv and wmv containers, and if so, how? ffmpeg on CentOS 4 (libavcodec from CentOS 4)

Hi folks. My colleague and I are trying to get ffmpeg working on CentOS 4, but the GCC on that OS isn't allowing us to work the ffmpeg install properly: Compiler did not align stack variables. Libavcodec has been miscompiled and may be very slow or crash. This is not a bug in libavcodec, but in the compiler. You may try recompiling using gcc >= 4.2. We can't move to CentOS 5 due to other issues with other software, so we thought we would ask here to see if anybody has the precompiled libavcodec that works, or knows of another route to get these movies converted properly. We're having issues on the video conversion, as a result. Anybody have any ideas? Cheers Rich in Toronto
