I do: $ ffmpeg -i minpian.wav -i minpian.m2v -target dvd -acodec pcm_s16be -b 8000k -s 720x576 -ab 1536k -ac 2 -r 25 minpian.mpg and get the following: [...] [dvd @ 0x8311670]buffer underflow i=1 bufi=4026 size=4096te= 344.9kbits/s [dvd @ 0x8311670]packet too large, ignoring buffer limits to mux it [...] Please help thanks Rodolfo

passlogfile cannot be found with multiple outputs...

I am encoding a single video to different formats/codecs using 2 pass encoding and a single command. The problem is that the way ffmpeg assign names to the passlogfile's for each output stream is not too smart. For example I call ffmpeg on a video so I set the first pass (-pass 1) with no audio (-an) and output to /dev/null. And set a custom name for the first pass log file (-passlogfile 2pass). This creates two log files named: 2pass-0.log and 2pass-1.log and everything seems ok. Unfortunately for the second pass I want to add the audio part too and here is when problems arise. With audio included now the output streams index is shifted as there are two new output streams (audio streams). In this case the second video stream for the first pass had index 1 but in the second pass it has index 2. This causes the second pass to look for a log file named "2pass-2.log" that does not exist and ffmpeg bails out. FFmpeg export to Sony XDCAM HD

Dear Friends, FFMpeg is able to read any XDCAM HD stream. Kdenlive users are asking for XDCAM HD export. Do you know the exact encoding options for XDCAM HD streams? More generaly, how can I stydy a stream to produce exactly the same output in FFmpeg? Kind regards, Jean-Michel

Indeed, I wrote a script automating conversion to gif in mac os using ffmpeg and convert and deleting temporary files. So for my use the problem is solved, and if somebody need the script I can share it. Dear Friends, I am trying to debug Kdenlive PAL Wide export formats. How can I encode into AVI DV PAL WIDE? Download source file: http://www.kdenlive.org/videos/rawdvpalwide-test-1.dv I am trying: ffmpeg -i rawdvpalwide-test-1.dv \ -vcodec dvvideo - pix_fmt=yuv420p \ -acodec pcm_s16le \ example.dv The resulting file is PAL DV but not wide. I found a workaround to do the job, but non directly in ffmpeg: ffmpeg -i input.ext -r 1 -t 10 frame%3d.jpg convert -delay 25 -loop 0 *.jpg animation.gif Does anybody have any suggestion to do it in ffmpeg or si that a known limitation? Side issues : 1.) "stream 0 codec frame rate differs from container frame rate" Does AVI specify a frame rate ? What happens when the frame rates differ ? Do some players lose sync ? 2.) 23.98 frames per second ?!? Why not 24 ? 12570329/524288 seems close to 24/1.001 1.001 has something to do with analog NTSC doesn't it ? (524288 = 2^19) -- Regards.
