Thinkin that you guys are aware of such issue's, i placed my question here. Hoping for some guide. And let me correct, it's not a wrong mailing list. Problem compiling FFMPEG with X264
by m_aldemir＠yahoo.com 29 Jul '08

Hello all, I'm trying to compile ffmpeg with x264 support on Debian Etch. But I get the following error. libavcodec/libx264.c: In function ?X264_init?: libavcodec/libx264.c:224: error: ?X264_ME_TESA? undeclared (first use in this function) libavcodec/libx264.c:224: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once libavcodec/libx264.c:224: error: for each function it appears in.) libavcodec/libx264.c:256: warning: assignment discards qualifiers from pointer target type make: *** [libavcodec/libx264.o] Error 1 --------- I got ffmpeg today using svn: svn checkout svn://svn.mplayerhq.hu/ffmpeg/trunk ffmpeg and here is my configuration: ./configure --enable-gpl --enable-libvorbis --enable-liba52 --enable-libmp3lame --enable-libfaad --enable-libfaac --enable-pthreads --enable-libx264 --enable-libxvid --enable-shared -------- I noticed that in the file /usr/include/x264.h declaration of X264_ME_TESA is missing. Is there a patch about it? Or am I doing something wrong? best, Mustafa Aldemir

hi I followed most of the documentation, but still can't get streaming working. I want to eventually stream from a TV card, but for testing, I just use a file for input. here is my ffserver.conf --------------------------------- Port 8090 BindAddress 0.0.0.0 MaxClients 1000 MaxBandwidth 400 CustomLog - NoDaemon <Feed feed1.ffm> File /tmp/feed1.ffm FileMaxSize 5M ACL allow 127.0.0.1 </Feed> <Stream test1.avi> Feed feed1.ffm Format avi AudioBitRate 64 AudioChannels 1 AudioSampleRate 44100 VideoBitRate 256 VideoBufferSize 40 VideoFrameRate 24 VideoSize 352x240 VideoGopSize 30 VideoHighQuality VideoCodec mpeg4 VideoQMin 3 VideoQMax 31 </Stream> ----------------------------------------- and I ran ffserver, then run ffmpeg -r 24 -s 352x240 -i input.avi http://localhost:8090/feed1.ffm and I am getting Input #0, avi, from 'input.avi': Duration: 01:46:14.20, start: 0.000000, bitrate: 1872 kb/s Stream #0.0: Video: mpeg4, yuv420p, 640x480 [PAR 1:1 DAR 4:3], 29.97 tb(r) Stream #0.1: Audio: mp3, 44100 Hz, mono, 64 kb/s http://localhost:8090/feed1.ffm: Unknown format can anyone suggest what I might do wrong? thanks -- Any MicroSoft extension file will directly go to trash without any warning and regret.

Dear Xperts, I am using vlc ( Version 0.8.6a ) on Redhat Linux. I am finding problem to play AC3 audio files. I compiled my code with " --enable-a52 " option, i and i downloaded "a52dec-0.7.4.tar.gz ". And compiled it, than included with ffmpeg compilation. I am getting error's as below when i run my code with -vvv option, " [00000230] main audio output error: couldn't find a filter for the first part of the conversion [00000230] main audio output error: couldn't set an input pipeline " Do i need to do somemore to enable AC3 ? Do i have to install any filter packages also ? Do i need to set any filter option when i run the code ? Kindly guide me in understanding / fixing the problem..! Thank's in advance.
