FFmpeg version Sherpya-r14277, Copyright (c) 2000-2008 Fabrice Bellard, et al. libavutil version: 49.7.0 libavcodec version: 51.60.0 libavformat version: 52.17.0 libavdevice version: 52.0.0 built on Jul 18 2008 11:12:48, gcc: 4.2.4 [Sherpya] FFmpeg Sherpya-r14277 libavutil 3213056 libavcodec 3357696 libavformat 3412224 libavdevice 3407872 ------ I am using the following command line: ffmpeg -i "test_a.avi" -vcodec png "test_a.mov" However, it does not preserve the Alpha information from the AVI file. When I open "test_a.mov" in QuickTime and run the inspector, it tells me it has RGB info and not RGBA info. I've spent the past hour looking over the help and documentation and I can't see what I'm missing. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks! --Dave

Missing libx264?

Headers audioconvert.h & cmdutils.h not installed.

Headers audioconvert.h & cmdutils.h are used by ffplay.c, but are not installed by the build system. Could anyone please explain whether they are supposed to be installed, and if not, whether users are supposed to use them and their associated implementations. I am using source tree from svn revision 15192 (last date 2008-09-04) and cofigured with: ./configure --enable-memalign-hack --disable-static --enable-shared --extra-cflags=-I/usr/include --extra-cflags=-I/usr/local/include --extra-cflags=-I/usr/SDL/include/SDL --extra-ldflags=-L/usr/lib --extra-ldflags=-L/usr/local/lib --extra-ldflags=-L/usr/SDL/lib/libSDL --enable-avfilter --enable-avfilter-lavf --enable-swscale --enable-gpl Many thanks

Hi to All I have checked out latest ffmpeg version from http://ffmpeg.mplayerhq.hu/download.html COMMAND: svn checkout svn://svn.mplayerhq.hu/ffmpeg/trunk ffmpeg it installed successfully, but when i run ffmpeg -formats it shows me ?E 3g2???????????? 3GP2 format When i am going to convert any video 3g2 file into any support video file format of ffmpeg, it gives me following error Input #0, mov,mp4,m4a,3gp,3g2,mj2, from 'video.3g2': ? I/O Error

Hi all, I've been searching Google and the mailing list archives. I can't seem to find an answer. I'm working on grabbing a JPG from a remote FLV. 'ffmpeg -i http://www.domainname.com/5001_7.flv -an -ss 00:00:03 -r 1 -vframes 1 -s 160x88 -f mjpeg -y output.jpg 2>&1' Every time I run this I receive an I/O error. I can use a local file and have it working fine. Would anything in FFmpeg cause this error or is my server config to blame? Thanks for the help. Regards, Ryan

AC3 Encoding Problem

Hi I have separate audio and video files and trying to encoding them in single mpeg file with AC3 audio. Resulted MPEG file has only one video stream there is no audio stream. But when a encoding with MPEG2 audio, resulted mpeg file have both video and audio stream. It doesn't matters whether my source audio files have either raw PCM or already encoded AC3 files, resulted mpeg file always have only video. extracting two program from a DVB channel

I have one DVB-T USB adapter. I have a channel that transmit 4 TV and 3 radio program. I would like to get two of the TV and one of the radio program and stream in the intranet. I did once using two analog tv tuners with ffmpeg then feeding ffserver, but never dit on DVB. Also is there someone better than ffserver ?
