Streaming text with libavfilter drawtext
by dave＠arthistory.cc 02 Dec '12

02 Dec '12

Hi! Just for info I have at least tried to search this list for an answer before posting. I have a streaming text that I would like to get added to my stream. What I'm aiming for here is to get data.txt re-read every second so the textdata in that(that updates every 0.1 seconds) will be shown in my stream: ffmpeg -f dshow -i video="Integrated Camera":audio="Internal Microphone (Conexant 2" -s 320x240 -r 30 -metadata title="my soo awesome video" -loglevel warning -vf drawtext=fontfile=arial.ttf:fontcolor=white:shadowcolor=black:x=100:y=x/dar:textfile='data.txt' -f flv rtmp://698400.fme.bambuser.com/b-fme/myuserid I have tested to add draw=lt(mod(t\,1)\,1) but what I'm looking for is really redraw=every second. If this is not possible to achieve please redirect to the source code for adding that option, if you got time. BR David

Video and audio out of sync - general question
by Frank Häfemeier 01 Dec '12

01 Dec '12

Hi, I am converting HD video (H264, mp2/ac3, TS container) captured from cable TV into mp4 container (x264, aac). I am also copy (if existing the original ac3 stream as an additional stream into the mp4 container, especially in case of a 5.1 audio. Sometimes happens the audio is not in sync with video. In this case I use the asyncts filter with 'first_pts=0'. This works well but only if I encode all audio streams. Is it really necessary to encode instead of copy? I tried to copy the stream and using the filter, but the audio was still not in sync. Is there a special order of parameter relevant? Bye Frank
