ffmepg not syncing while using pipe
by frank ernest 04 May '14

04 May '14

Please forgive this post if it is kinda rant like, it's been a windowz style nightmare of queer brokenness. I am having the most misrible time trying to get ffmpeg to transmit and recieve via a pipe. I decided I was going to crate a more secure skype. I decided to use ffmpeg, netcat, aespipe, and gnupg. In all my localhost tests my idea worked, I just had to set the sync to video. I then tried it between my desktop and laptop computers on my own personal network. ffmpeg will not sync to save it's life. About one in every 100 connections syncs correctly.
#Server ffmpeg -nostdin -loglevel fatal -f video4linux2 -framerate 20 \ -s:v 640x480 -i /dev/video0 -ac 2 -f alsa -i hw:0 -ac 2 -c:a libvorbis \ -s:v 640x480 -b:v 100KiB -c:v libvpx -f nut -b:a 9000B \ -filter_complex volume=15 - | aespipe -e AES256 -H SHA512 -w 2 \ -P ~/in | nc -w 60 -n 192.168.1.100 2048 #Client nc -l -p 2048 | aespipe -e AES256 -H SHA512 -w 2 -d -P ~/in | ffplay \ -loglevel fatal -acodec libvorbis -x 640 -y 480 -vcodec libvpx \ -b:a 9000B -ac2 -b:v 50KiB -f nut -sync audio -
"in" is a fifo to the output of gpg2. I tried using speex, theora, avi etc. Nothing can cause it to sync. Theora outputs black and white. I tried -sync video and ext, no good. I love pipes and I've never in my life had any trouble with them. But for some reason ffmpeg can't work from them. Why? How hard is it to render one video and one audio frame at a time from a pipe in a first-in-first-out method?

Mp4 Concat Demuxer Produces Incorrect Output
by Casey Bateman 04 May '14

Hello, I am in need of some assistance because of an issue I am seeing using the concat demuxer. I am trying to concatenate two .mp4 files. When I concatenate the two files together using the concat demuxer, the output file will display the first clip at normal speed, then the second clip exponentially faster. After inspecting the Ffmpeg output logs, the only thing that I can see different between these two files, is the tbn. Would the tbn being different on these files effect the output of the concat demuxer? ERROR: x265 not found
by Isabella 04 May '14

I can configure ffmpeg with x265 shared library but with the static library it does not work: This command: LDFLAGS='-L /root/LIB/lib' ./configure --enable-runtime-cpudetect --disable-debug --disable-shared --enable-gpl --enable-version3 --enable-libx265 Gives: "ERROR: x265 not found". I have compiled and installed x265 to that folder properly (I think). [LT2014] FFmpeg at LinuxTag in Berlin
by Alexander Strasser 01 May '14

01 May '14

Once again FFmpeg will be represented at LinuxTag in Berlin, Germany. The event will take place from 8th to 10th of May. Please note that this year's LinuxTag is at a different location closer to the city center. We will have a shared booth with XBMC and VideoLAN. If you have media files that cannot be processed correctly with FFmpeg, be sure to have a sample with you so we can have a look! More information about LinuxTag can be found here: http://www.linuxtag.org/2014/ We are looking forward to see you in Berlin!

Ffplay problem for dynamic stream switch
by Yevgen Voronetskyy 01 May '14

01 May '14

Hi everyone, I have a Wowza 4 server which serves the live RTMP streams. One of the stream feature we have is to add some video effects on live streams (logo, blurring, etc). This is done through ffmpeg filters which connects to the initial stream and transcode the video. Actually, the Flash players can interpret well this switch, there is one second lag, and after transcoded video is played correctly. For some reason, I need to read the same stream with ffplay command. And here, I get some strange error - fflplay can’t read properly the stream after the switch. FFplay outputs the following: —— h264 @ 0x7ffd33827000] decode_slice_header error [h264 @ 0x7ffd33815600] deblocking_filter_idc 5 out of rangef=30/30 [h264 @ 0x7ffd33826a00] [h264 @ 0x7ffd33815600] top block unavailable for requested intra mode at 17 0 decode_slice_header error [h264 @ 0x7ffd33826a00] error while decoding MB 17 0 [h264 @ 0x7ffd33826a00] Inconsistent MMCO state between slices [4, 1] [h264 @ 0x7ffd33826a00] top block unavailable for requested intra4x4 mode -1 at 9 15 [h264 @ 0x7ffd33826a00] error while decoding MB 9 15 [h264 @ 0x7ffd33827000] left block unavailable for requested intra mode at 0 5 [h264 @ 0x7ffd33827000] error while decoding MB 0 5 [h264 @ 0x7ffd33827000] reference count overflow [h264 @ 0x7ffd33827000] decode_slice_header error [h264 @ 0x7ffd33815600] top block unavailable for requested intra mode at 0 0 [h264 @ 0x7ffd33815600] error while decoding MB 0 0 [h264 @ 0x7ffd33826a00] negative number of zero coeffs at 2 0 [h264 @ 0x7ffd33826a00] error while decoding MB 2 0 MMCO opcode [1, 2] at 0 mismatches between slices [h264 @ 0x7ffd33826a00] Inconsistent MMCO state between slices [1, 1] [h264 @ 0x7ffd33826a00] top block unavailable for requested intra mode at 2 15 [h264 @ 0x7ffd33826a00] error while decoding MB 2 15 —— When I restart ffplay, it works properly. DVB Subtitles On/Off
by enri69 01 May '14

01 May '14

Hi everybody! Is it possible to stream a local file and a subtitle for that file (in srt or whatever format) so that in the final stream the subtitles can be switched on and off. My problem is that I want to stream to 'UDP multicast (224.1.1.1:1234)' Video + Audio in a Mkv container + Subtitle in .srt or .ass. But I need subtitles to be switched On and Off. Until now I have successfully manage to stream all the above transcoding to mpeg2video, using the dvbsub codec for subs. But using Vlc Player or a DVB-C STB I can receive the video stream with all audio streams and the DVB Subtitle stream, BUT it seems that the sub stream is empty. I have tried with ass subs but they are hardcoded with the -vf filter, and I want the subs to be Dvb Subtitles. This is what I am using: ffmpeg -re -i 'input.mpg' -i 'input.sub' -map 0:0 -map 0:1 -map 0:2 -map 0:3 -map 1:0 -vcodec mpeg2video -s 1280x720 -r 25 -b:v 9M -acodec mp2 -ac 2 -b:a 192k -scodec dvbsub -f mpegts udp://224.1.1.1:1234?pkt_size=1316 I am using latest Zeranoe 64bit build on Windows 7 64bit, but I'm willing to use it from Linux if it is a windows build problem. Anyone has the answer to this? -- View this message in context: http://ffmpeg-users.933282.n4.nabble.com/DVB-Subtitles-On-Off-tp4664943.html Sent from the FFmpeg-users mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
