How can I set in a D10 MXF (IMX50) file the flags for output color_range, -space, -transfer and primaries?

I found out that a IMX50 mxf file encoded with FFmbc and the IMX50 mxf file encoded with actual ffmpeg builds are different in these mxf metadata flags (by reading out via ffprobe - show_streams) FFMBC IMX FILE stream 0:0: color_range=tv color_space=smpte170m color_transfer=bt709 color_primaries=bt470bg FFMPEG IMX FILE stream 0:0: color_range=tv color_space=unknown color_transfer=unknown color_primaries=unknown I want to set these metadata flags to the same values, but with FFmpeg. How can I produce the same output like ffmbc with these 4 metadata flags? Numerical histogram output for checking typical broadcast ranges (16-235)

Hello, I am very new in using the histogram filter. (http://ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg-filters.html#histogram) Is it possible to dump the video level values from which the histogram graph is drawn into numeric values (textfile dump) to check if a video has levels inside the broadcast ranges (16-235/94-940)? bg Christoph

How to pass -x264opts value with embedded colon in option value

Looked through the docs + tried several approaches. Nothing seems to work. For example, what's the correct way to pass.. -x264opts analyse=0x3:0x113 Which has a ':' embedded in option value? Thanks.

WAV to FLAC md5 mismatch errors

Hello, I am using FFMPEG to convert WAV files to FLAC files and I am getting MD5 mismatch errors when running the converted files through AudioTester. Now, it doesn't happen for all converted files, just some. Conversely, when I use the flac encoding tool to encode the files, they do not produce the md5 mismatch error. Does anyone have any insights on this? Hi, I'm trying to decipher what the values are in the info presented. I need to determine how far apart the keyframes are. 3 seconds is what I hear they should be for adaptive bitrate switching. Use force_key_frames to obtain keyframes at exactly the same positions as in the input stream?

Hello, Can I use force_key_frames in some way to produce keyframes (IDR, not I-frames) at exactly the same PTS in output streams as they are found in the live input stream? Both input and output are h264 and live streaming. Something analogous to using 2 pass encoding for VOD and in the second pass keyframes are inserted exactly where they are recorded in the first pass... Multithreaded multioutput problem

I would like to generate 4 different HLS (sub)streams from a single DVB capture, but ffmpeg fails to keep up with more than 2. Yes, I have the CPU power and I'm writing to a ram disk (or SSD, doesn't matter). I have a dual tuner capture card and can generate two different HLS substreams per tuner (total of 4) with plenty of CPU left to burn. I would guess it is some kind of thread limit but I can't seem to get past it. Any suggestions? Below is an example command and output. If I cut out one of the outputs, it works fine. Hello All, I am trying to concat ProRes clips (no audio) into one file. Here is my command: ffmpeg -i "concat:/storage/HD_24P/HD_24P_DN002__part_0_.mov|/storage/HD_24P/HD_24P_DN002__part_1_.mov|/storage/HD_24P/HD_24P_DN002__part_2_.mov|/storage/HD_24P/HD_24P_DN002__part_3_.mov|/storage/HD_24P/HD_24P_DN002__part_4_.mov|/storage/HD_24P/HD_24P_DN002__part_5_.mov|/storage/HD_24P/HD_24P_DN002__part_6_.mov|/storage/HD_24P/HD_24P_DN002__part_7_.mov|/storage/HD_24P/HD_24P_DN002__part_8_.mov|/storage/HD_24P/HD_24P_DN002__part_9_.mov" -c copy output.mov and the console output below. It seems to finish the 1st part and then stops and prints "fps 11988 is too large" at the end. None of the clips have an fps different than 23.98. Any suggestions? Can heavy load on a machine affect FFmpeg output quality?

Hello guys, We are running a transcoding server on top of FFmpeg, where in principle the machine can get quite busy in more than 1 concurrent job is submitted. Is it possible that a machine under heavy load might affect the goodness of FFmpeg transcoding output? In other terms, is a video transcoding a function of the load of a machine at a give time? We have given ffmpeg max priority with “nice -20”, if that matters. Thanks for you patience! Alfredo
