Hello video experts! I know that my issue is OS X related issue rather than ffmpeg related issue, but I'm appreciate someone's help who using OS X... I downloaded some videos from net. Then I found that some of them have strange orange color noise (?). It only occurs with QuickTime based application. Never occurs with ffplay, Windows media player, MPC-HC or VLC. Here's short sample of my issue: http://www.mediafire.com/download/pkvb8bbd05hirzb/sample.mp4.zip I'm suspecting that it is related with video's color space. those downloaded video uses bt709. ffserver: how to create ffm file anew each time a feed comes in?

I’ve noticed that when I send a stream to ffserver, it keeps updating the ffm file if one already exists. Is there a config such that the ffm starts anew when a new feed comes in? Otherwise I guess I would have to delete the ffm file? thanks Ricardo

ensuring output of #EXT-X-ENDLIST to m3u8 file for HLS

Hi, I have ffserver and ffmpeg working together to produce HLS streaming files. Basically ffserver has an flv stream, and an ffmpeg process reads the stream and generates the HLS segments. However, once the flv stream ends, ffmpeg doesn’t react to that by ending “cleanly” on its own. I’m forced to kill the process otherwise it just sits indefinitely waiting for input from the flv. The side effect is that the m3u8 file misses the last line which typically contains #EXT-X-ENDLIST Since I’m running the ffmpeg process in the background, I can’t cleanly “hit q” to quit it. Does ffmpeg have a command option to cleanly exit (or timeout) if the input is halted for a period of time? Alternatively, is there a signal I can send to ffmpeg for it to exit cleanly and it outputs #EXT-X-ENDLIST? thanks Ricardo

Decklink CC Output

Has anyone looked into adding closed caption (CEA-708) output to the Decklink driver? I have most of the documentation necessary, but am missing the SMPTE 333 (SMPTE 333M-1999) documentation needed. Otherwise, has anyone captured VANC data to figure out how 708 gets put into the VANC data for output? Thanks, Deron

If you think configure made a mistake, make sure you are using the latest version from Git. If the latest version fails, report the problem to the ffmpeg-user(a)ffmpeg.org mailing list or IRC #ffmpeg on irc.freenode.net. Include the log file "config.log" produced by configure as this will help solve the problem. 请问这个到底是什么问题啊，配置都是对的，按照文档一步步执行的，为什么？？？？？？ pengsipin(a)gotye.com.cn

Hi, I am using ffmpeg to output streams in HLS with ssegmenter. I am seeing quite lot these messsages in the log but without any visible consequences in the output stream. The output stream seems to be relatively ok even though I sometimes see these messages repeated many many times. Is that something to worry about? and how do I attempt to fix it? Audiodecriptor issue on Apple TV gen 2 when encrypting with FPS

Hi, We have to following setup: FFMpeg - transcoding MP4 split (Unified streaming) - Packaging to smooth with playready Unified Origin (Unified streaming) - Tranmuxing and transdrm on the fly to hls, hds, dash , fps etc Our issue is the on Apple TV gen 2 our content wont play. After long debugging with help from Apple, we have narrowed it down to the AudioConfig decriptor. The bug only occurs when using FPS encryption and only on ATV2 (sw 6.2.1). Suggestion from Apple: --- In ISO/IEC 14496-3 Table 1.15 – Syntax of AudioSpecificConfig() a) Not setting syncExtensionType to 0x2b7 or b) with syncExtensionType set to 0x2b7, set sbrPresentFlag to 1 can workaround this issue. ---- Is there anyone that know how we can do this in FFMpeg? H.264 to jpeg thumbnail

Hello. I apologize if there are any mistakes in my English writing. I have analog clock movie. https://www.wetransfer.com/downloads/00a1dff5520b07a484507d04113a22fe201509… This movie encode H.264, Mpeg-TS formats. This file played 'Windows Media player', smoothly. I execute 'ffmpeg -i clock.ts -f image2 %5d.jpg' from command line. jpeg file is not smooth seconds hand. seconds hand of 00057.jpg is back to 00056.jpg. 00087.jpg, 00117.jpg too. I found error code [h264 @ 047928C0] error while decoding MB 72 67, bytestream xx [h264 @ 047928C0] cabac decode of qscale diff failed at xx xx [h264 @ 047928C0] Reference 2 >= 2 But, output timing is not there jpeg make it. FFmpeg terminates if input image index > 4

Hi, Running 'ffmpeg -i %08d.ppm -libx264 -r 30 vid1.mp4' terminates with the message "Could find no file with path %08d.ppm and index in the range 0-4". I know that this is caused because the first file that matches the pattern is 00000552.ppm and that renaming the files so that they start from 00000000.ppm fixes the problem. I wanted to know if there is a workaround for this without having to rename it separately from the command prompt and without using glob matching (I'm running this on a Windows machine). Also, just to satiate my curiosity, why does this limitation exist? Thanks.
