"ffserver" stream has audio but no video after upgrading

Hello Everyone, Good morning. I use FFmpeg in my home surveillance system. Prior to upgrading to recent versions, I am using "*FFmpeg 2.4.3*". I use "ffserver" to stream multiplexed video stream (from network cameras) and audio stream (from desktop PC microphone). Using "*FFmpeg 2.4.3*", I can successfully access the streams. Meaning I can see video from the network camera and hear audio from the common microphone. To illustrate: ffmpeg -i network_camera1_video_stream -i desktop_microphone_audio_stream ---> ffserver ffmpeg -i network_camera2_video_stream -i desktop_microphone_audio_stream ---> ffserver ffmpeg -i network_camera3_video_stream -i desktop_microphone_audio_stream ---> ffserver *CASE 1: Upgrade to FFmpeg 3.0* I decided to upgrade to recent versions of FFmpeg. I tried FFmpeg 3.0. There is no change in "ffserver.conf". In the "ffmpeg" command line, I only added "*-thread_**queue_size 256*" to fix the warnings about increasing the thread queue size. The result is that there are no streams accessible (i.e. no video/audio), though I don't see any issue with the logs. *CASE 2: Upgrade to FFmpeg 2.8.6* I then backtracked and tried "*FFmpeg 2.8.6*". Again, the only difference is the added "*-thread_queue_size 256*" option to fix the warnings. This time, there is audio, but there is no video. Hello Everyone, Good morning. I use FFmpeg in my home surveillance system. Prior to upgrading to recent versions, I am using "*FFmpeg 2.4.3*". I use "ffserver" to stream multiplexed video stream (from network cameras) and audio stream (from desktop PC microphone). Using "*FFmpeg 2.4.3*", I can successfully access the streams. Meaning I can see video from the network camera and hear audio from the common microphone. To illustrate: ffmpeg -i network_camera1_video_stream -i desktop_microphone_audio_stream ---> ffserver ffmpeg -i network_camera2_video_stream -i desktop_microphone_audio_stream ---> ffserver ffmpeg -i network_camera3_video_stream -i desktop_microphone_audio_stream ---> ffserver *CASE 1: Upgrade to FFmpeg 3.0* I decided to upgrade to recent versions of FFmpeg. I tried FFmpeg 3.0. There is no change in "ffserver.conf". In the "ffmpeg" command line, I only added "*-thread_**queue_size 256*" to fix the warnings about increasing the thread queue size. The result is that there are no streams accessible (i.e. no video/audio), though I don't see any issue with the logs. *CASE 2: Upgrade to FFmpeg 2.8.6* I then backtracked and tried "*FFmpeg 2.8.6*". Again, the only difference is the added "*-thread_queue_size 256*" option to fix the warnings. This time, there is audio, but there is no video. concat & input trimming

I am attempting to use the concat filter along with input trimming which i'm guessing might not be supported in this combination. The behavior with using input trimming and the concat filter is that the ffmpeg command line process stalls at 0% until it gets to the last input segment which is what gets output. If create all the individual segments with -ss & -t first, I am able to concatenate these files together. Not sure if there is anything I can modify with my original command line process to get this working in one step. low resource ffserver (not using ffmpeg as the input stream)

Hi there, I would like to live stream ALSA audio input through ffserver. Just plain raw ALSA audio... happy to use a pcm format ... Running on a very low resource embedded system and for that reason running ffmpeg (because of linking requirements) is not possible. Does anyone know of any other really simple approaches to live streaming ALSA input through ffserver ? Looking for information on how to setup the input stream if it isn't ffmpeg. thanks Matt

FFMeg Concat giving "unsafe file name" error on new server install

Quick history - the application I have running is working fine on the original server Ubuntu 14.04.
