spherical video usage @ FFMPEG 3.3

Dear experts, FFMPEG 3.3 starts support spherical video, but no documents to describe how to use and what is the input and output format. Seems like it is not for actual projection algorithm. preprocess rawdata to RTMP

Im just trying to use ffmpeg command to transport a preprocess video to RTMP ( It is a youtube live streaming ) So my input is a rawvideo and my output a RTMP address. Before, i was using this command to transport RTSP to RTMP: ffmpeg -f lavfi -i anullsrc -rtsp_transport tcp -i rtsp://admin:admin@192.168.0.143:554/h264/ch1/main/av_stream -tune zerolatency -vcodec libx264 -pix_fmt + -c:v copy -c:a aac -strict experimental -f flv rtmp://a.rtmp.youtube.com/live2/4584-gfjh-28g5-88k0 Now, what are the changes in this command to transport a rawvideo? I do the preprocess of the RTSP video with openCV library in C++. Which are the ways (and format) I can feed ffmpeg with these frames? Is this correct if my program output is a string "form" of the frames?$ my_cpp_program < ffmpeg

Replacement for av_picture_crop() which is deprecated

Hi, I need to find replacement for av_picture_crop() function which is deprecated in latest version. In comments (inside avcodec.h) it is mentioned as 'deprecated unused'. Is there any replacement for this? If not any suggestions to use other crop functions? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, Krishnan

Convert a Camera source to an IP Camera signal

Hi, I am using Wirecast Pro as a switcher for live streams. I have two cameras one is connected through a thunderbolt cable to the Wirecast machine but the second one I want to connect via WiFi. Therefore I try to stream it over IP to Wirecast. The second camera is connected to the second computer through a firewire cable and provides a HDV Mpeg2 stream. I tried sending the stream with rtmp but that means I have to transcode it 2 times and I am loosing to much quality. Therefore I am looking for a way to stream it with RTSP or HTTP in Mpeg2 or Motion JPEG. The Wirecast Web Stream plugin accepts IP Cameras delivering in these format. But I can't figure out how to send the stream with ffmpeg that it will be recognised like an IP Camera from Wirecast. Thank you for your help. Best Regards, Robert

Assistance to merge audio and video files to network share

Hi Team, I have incorporated calling the ffmpeg process into my source code and it works fine when output file is on my local drive. However this does not work when I try to merge to a shared folder. Is this possible? Please see my command below Ffmpeg.exe -i audio.V3 -i video.mp4 -shortest ftp://Admin:P*****@192.168.***.**:21/testFolder/test.mp4 Regards, George Duncan

Handling uncompressed10-bit YUYV 422 (packed)

I've been a part-time user of ffmpeg (from the command line), and I'm now trying out the API/SDK to perform some processing. One keen feature I'm interested in is being able to encode or decode using a packed 10-bit YUYV 422 pixel format. Thus far, I have noticed the 8-bits-per-component 'AV_PIX_FMT_YUYV422' pixel format but I have not seen a corresponding equivalent for 10-bits. I can appreciate that 10-bit formats are very awkward (CPU hardware is traditionally built for powers of 2). Having searched the 'net, I've come across a few posts mentioning v210, but it appears to be referred to as a codec (http://obe.tv/about-us/obe-blog/item/21-faster-professional-10-bit-video-co…) Any assistance would be much appreciated.. Dimensions of the input video as a variable

I would like to superimpose the audiograph of the video's audio on the video itself using 'blend'. I sucseeded in doing so with the line: c:\programme\ffmpeg\bin\ffmpeg -y -i test.avi -filter_complex "[0:a]showwaves=s=640x480:mode=line[waves];[0:v]setsar=1:1[video];[waves][video]blend=all_mode='lighten'" -c:v libxvid -c:a copy ovl.avi As you see, I supplied the dimensions of the input video (640x480) in the command line. I would like to turn this into a more general script, determining the dimensions of the input video on the fly, but how do I do that? I tried "s=wxh" and alike, by that doesn't seem to work. How do I encode DVB Subtitles?

*QUESTION 1:* How do I add a STR file to a MPEG-TS file with the "DVB subtitle codec"? If so, could you give me a sample command line? Thank. I am trying: ffmpeg -i video.ts *-i subtitle.srt* -vcodec copy -acodec copy *-scodec dvbsub* output.ts The stream is created because I can see it with MediaInfo, but the subtitles don't appear! *QUESTION 2:* How do I use the command *slang*? I try to use it, but ffmpeg says the command doesn't exist. Thank you.
