gst-ffmpeg on ARM Linux: GNU assembler not found, install/update gas-preprocessor

I've been trying to compile the latest GStreamer for the Raspberry Pi running Raspbian (Debian). When I try to build gst-ffmpeg, it fails with the message: GNU assembler not found, install/update gas-preprocessor I've downloaded gas-preprocessor.pl file [1] and put it in my $PATH, with the executable flag set. The "test" target in the Makefile also succeeds with no errors. Still, the initial error message remains when trying to build gst-ffmpeg. Any hints? (I've successfully built different previous versions (e.g. 1.10.1) of gst-ffmpeg without this dependency on the same setup.) Thanks Gottfried [1] https://github.com/FFmpeg/gas-preprocessor

small mp4 videos for advertisement

I have these very small mp4 files, that have a good quality and they are for advertisement. frames change rarely in these videos and I need to encode some advertisement videos like these. for example this one is about 11 seconds and is 620kb. this is what I am looking forward to do. http://malltina.com/upload/index_animation/JS-Boutique-Womens-Bateau.mp4 how can I achieve this?

Driver does not support the required nvenc API version

Hello everyone I am new to ffmpeg and i am trying to encode some video to x265 with following command : ffmpeg -i video.mp4 -c:v hevc_nvenc -c:a aac -b:a 128k output.mp4 and what i get is "Driver does not support the required nvenc API version. Required: 8.0 Found: 7.1" . If you can point me on which driver to update i would appreciate. Hello there, It works with rtmpdump but I can not run it with ffmpeg. I need to set swfsize and hash, but I can not set it. This is i download FFmpeg file,and i want to use gdigrab to grab screen and streaming,use UDP or RTMP. And I can use "ffmpeg -f gdigrab -framerate 30 -video_size 640x480 -i desktop out.mpg " to generate the file，and use like“ffmpeg -re -i ds.h264 -vcodec copy -f h264 udp://192.168.1.172:8080” to streaming local file。But i dont know how to Combined that into one line. And i want to control Bit rate，pixels，FPS，to grab screen and streaming.Can you show me how to use one line to do it？ :)

multiply -ss options

If I use multiply -ss options with the same video ffmpeg -ss 00:00:05 -i input.mp4 -ss 00:01:05 -i input.mp4 -ss 00:03:05 -i input.mp4 -ss 00:40:05 -i input.mp4 -map 0:v -frames:v 1 out001.jpg -map 1:v -frames:v 1 out002.jpg -map 2:v -frames:v 1 out003.jpg -map 3:v -frames:v 1 out004.jpg The same video would be opened few times or it would be opened just once (for the optimization and speed-up purpose)? Qt version: 5.7.1 ffmpeg version: n3.3 Android version: 5.1.1 ( but I've tried on some different devices ) I'm trying to use the Android API MediaCoded that have been supported by ffmpeg but while I try to open the codec I got "Operation not permitted" all times, I've tried some changes and I've tried to find examples without not luck. FFmpeg changing maximum video bitrate during streaming?

I'm using the following command to stream video: - ffmpeg.exe -re -i test.avi -b:v 960k -minrate 960k -maxrate 960k -bufsize 240k -an -s 480x640 -r 30 -threads 0 -vcodec libx264 -preset veryfast -x264opts keyint=90:no-scenecut=1:min-keyint=90 -vprofile baseline -level 3.0 -pix_fmt yuv420p -f rtp rtp://127.0.0.1:62712 Is there a way of communicating with FFmpeg whilst it is streaming to change the video bitrate? I have looked at the filters and zmq but cannot find anything for the video bitrate. Thanks Dave

recursive loop through directory in osx

I want to use the following command on a media directory to convert a load of MKV to MP4. the command works fine. just need the loop to process through. how do I do that ? for f in *.mkv;do ffmpeg -i "$f" -c copy "${f%mkv}mp4";done file structure is: / TV / Program One / S01 / EP01.mkv / TV / Program One / S01 / EP02.mkv / TV / Program Two / S01 / EP01.mkv / TV / Program Two / S01 / EP02.mkv / TV / Program Two / S02 / EP01.mkv the command will convert all files in the same directory but that means manually going up and down etc I just want to start in the top directory (/TV/) kick off the loop and leave it to it ! would be nice to add a delete command post conversion also :) this is running on a Mac desktop TIA.
