Hi, There was error occurred when when configure ffmpeg code on mac: nasm/yasm not found or too old. Use --disable-x86asm for a crippled build. If you think configure made a mistake, make sure you are using the latest version from Git. If the latest version fails, report the problem to the ffmpeg-user(a)ffmpeg.org mailing list or IRC #ffmpeg on irc.freenode.net. Include the log file "ffbuild/config.log" produced by configure as this will help solve the problem. Raspivid with ffmpeg on both sources (youtube & rtsp)

Good evening all, I am now playing with raspivid on Raspbian and a raspberry pi equipped with a PinoIR camera module. I am almost done with the setup and have found a pre-compiled version of FFmpeg 3.1.1 to experiment a streaming to a youtube live stream by means of the command: raspivid -o - -t 0 -vf -hf -fps 30 -b 6000000 | ffmpeg -ar 44100 -ac 2 -acodec pcm_s16le -f s16le -ac 2 -i /dev/zero -f h264 -i - -vcodec copy -acodec aac -ab 128k -g 50 -strict experimental -f flv rtmp://a.rtmp.youtube.com/live2/<SESSION> Is there any parameter I can use to also stream to a local machine (e.g. through a VLC client reading the stream) ? I have achieved to do it in another bash with cvlc: [code]cvlc -vvv stream:///dev/stdin --sout '#rtp{sdp=rtsp://:8554/}':demux=h264[/code] but executing both bashes at the same time is not possible as the input camera is locked by the system. So, I looked in the ffmpeg documentation and found an interesting thread on multiple outputs : https://trac.ffmpeg.org/wiki/Creating%20multiple%20outputs. Then, I have tried the piped processes and another ffmpeg call to the inital command: raspivid -o - -t 0 -vf -hf -fps 30 -b 6000000 | ffmpeg -ar 44100 -ac 2 -acodec pcm_s16le -f s16le -ac 2 -i /dev/zero -f h264 -i - -vcodec copy -acodec aac -ab 128k -g 50 -strict experimental -f flv rtmp://a.rtmp.youtube.com/live2/<SESSION> | ffmpeg -f h264 -i - -vcodec copy -f rtsp -rtsp_transport tcp rtsp://localhost:8888/live.sdp It appears to have a syntax error, and maybe it is not the best way of achieving this. Increase DVCPRO50 encoding quality possible?

Hello everyone, I am testing the DVCPRO encoder of ffmpeg and comparing it with other tools in terms of picture quality. I mentioned that the picture quality of an ffmpeg dvcpro50 encoding is a little bit less than a dvcpro50 encoding from a carbon coder. In numbers I can say: Original Source Quality = 100 % Carbon Coder Quality = 95% FFmpeg Quality = 90% Regarding encoding speed ffmpeg dvcpro50 encoder wins: 720x576 RAW source to DVCPRO50: ffmpeg: 10x faster than realtime carbon coder: 3x faster than Realtime The FFmpeg sample has more visible blocking artefacts and mosquito noise (can only be seen in zoom mode 400% or more). You can see it here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/lj4lq1kfr8f5c1i/ffmpegusers_dvcpro50.zip?dl=0 I encoded a part of a animation movie to dvcpro50. At smooth color gradients you can see the differences. Stronger mosquito noise and more blocks in the leafs. My used syntax: ffmpeg -i inputfile -vcodec dvvideo -pix_fmt yuv422p outpufile.mxf My question: Is there any syntax option which I can use to increase the DVCPRO50 encoding quality a little bit? Preserving both Video and Data Streams in Output file

Hello all, I have a mpeg file that I would like to send to a stream, something like: ffmpeg -i PumaMapping.mpg udp://239.0.0.1:1234 However, this input.mpg file has both a video stream and a data stream, the latter of which I understand by default ffmpeg does not carry over. I want to copy both streams to the output file/stream, but I haven't been able to figure out how. Seeking for a method to remove sections of a video

Hi, I'm new to this list. I'm seeking for a tool to remove the start and end sections of a movie recorded from TV, plus sections on the middle (commercials), in Linux. I have tried several GUI tools and they are either too complex or lack some crucial feature (like handling two language audio tracks). Some tools are obsolete and abandoned, do not work (gopchop...). I have found that ffmpeg can do the perfect conversion and cutting. My problem is finding out the cut points. Thus what I seek is a GUI Wrapper for ffmpeg that allows me to move around the movie selecting start, end, and middle remove sections, and just generate a script for ffmpeg that I can then edit and adjust with my own options and run. I have tried, for instance, ffmpegyag. Well, it is incapable of visualizing my videos, so I can't select the cut points... The closest I have is finding the points with Xine, then manually concot the command line to generate sections, then concatenate using method in https://trac.ffmpeg.org/wiki/Concatenate I seek a GUI to automate generating the cut points in a list or script.
