Building framemd5 checksum for Audio per second

API question, mpeg: assign later coming streams to preallocated AVStreams

Hi, I have an mpeg stream where the probing does not find one (vobsub subtitle) stream because it appears to late. However, I know that such a stream exists. Currently, given my input AVFormatContext, I try to create a new subtitle stream with: ``` AVFormatContext* ifmt_ctx = ...; AVStream* stream = avformat_new_stream(ifmt_ctx, NULL); stream->codecpar->codec_id = AV_CODEC_ID_DVD_SUBTITLE; stream->codecpar->codec_type = AVMEDIA_TYPE_SUBTITLE; ``` However, when I then read packets from the stream with av_read_frame() and the subtitle stream appears, it is not assigned to my newly created stream, but to another new one. Is there a way to preallocate the subtitle stream (before any call to av_read_frame() but in a way, that av_read_frame assigns the packet to exactly this manually created stream? Thanks Gerion

Detecting upscaled video (resolution), detecting lower to higher encoding

Is there a way to ffmpeg or maybe another tool that detects if video has been re-coded to a higher resolution? For instance if I am offered two downloads one 720p and one 1080p. I have sometimes the impression that the 1080p is just the 720p converted to 1080p (not significant better quality). And thus just uses more space. I am not sure if I am using the correct terms here, I do not do to much with video nor audio. However I am getting more and more annoyed with the presence of 2K videos claiming to be 4K and 480p/720p claiming to be 1080p.

best way to transform SD to HD w/ pillarbox and yadif

Hi All, I was hoping for some advice regarding the best way to sequence video filters when transcoding SD video to HD, de-interlacing, scaling, padding (pillar-box), etc. I know the order of filters is critical, but I haven't been able to determine if one way of doing this is better than another. Assuming 720x486 NTSC video, this is the best I came up with, though I am generally unsure about when to deinterlace when forcing interlaced-aware scaling. Any advice about filters, or anything else that comes up incidentally, would be greatly appreciated. missing a selected frame

Hi, my command is: ./ffmpeg -y -v warning -i debug/CYD_1.5m_x264.mp4 -vf select='eq(t\,10.16)+eq(t\,10.2)+eq(t\,10.24)+eq(t\,10.28)+eq(t\,10.32)+eq(t\,10.36)+eq(t\,10.4)+eq(t\,10.44)+eq(t\,17.52)+eq(t\,47.96)+eq(t\,49.08)+eq(t\,49.2)+eq(t\,55.72)+eq(t\,83.0)' -q 5 -c:a copy -vsync vfr debug/outsides/CYD_1.5m_x264_%02d.png It should select 14 frames and output them to individual PNG pictures, but the 2nd frame is missing, so I get only 13 PNG. If I use eq(pts\,130560) instead eq(t\,10.2) for the 2nd frame it works and I get 14 PNG as expected. Because of that irregularity I'm not sure, if I get the correct frames at all. Hey all, Hoping someone can help with this issue without me sharing the video file, since I unfortunately can't - I've got a few hundred video files I'm working with that have an issue where ffmpeg -i reports them as having a duration of a few minutes, but when I try to split them into frames, I only get one frame. The logs warn something about DTS discontinuity, but that could be a red herring.
