FFmpeg - openWRT -
by Philip Chisholm 14 Aug '19

Hi Can you add libx264 to ffmpeg on openwrt. OS: openwrt Device: Linkit 7688 duo Architecture: mips 2kc *** Currently we can only get Flash (flv) to stream form device. Flash is bad for web...need to 'ok' browers - plus security issues... And from reading many discussions...we need libx264 to stream in other formats We want to be able to live stream from device to web - in other formats other than Flash (flv). Some format that will be ok for top browsers (and mobile apps iOS and Android). We think mpeg is ok - but you may know better... Suggestions? Thanks so much!! Configure says it can't find openssl
by Simon Brown 13 Aug '19

13 Aug '19

I run the following configure script using the latest ffmpeg pulled from github. ./configure --disable-decoders --disable-encoders --enable-decoder=h264 --enable-decoder=vc1 --enable-decoder=aac --disable-ffplay --disable-ffprobe --enable-openssl It's on an embedded system, hence disabling most of the features. It returns with ERROR: openssl not found If you think configure made a mistake, make sure you are using the latest version from Git. If the latest version fails, report the problem to the ffmpeg-user(a)ffmpeg.org mailing list or IRC #ffmpeg on irc.freenode.net. Include the log file "ffbuild/config.log" produced by configure as this will help solve the problem. The log file is attached. I have made sure that openssl is installed opkg list-installed | grep openssl openssl - 1.0.1p-r0.0 openssl-conf - 1.0.1p-r0.0 openssl-dbg - 1.0.1p-r0.0 openssl-dev - 1.0.1p-r0.0 Any help greatly appreciated. Error in audiotoolboxenc.o when compiling on OS X 10.6.8
by Jonathan Alland 12 Aug '19

12 Aug '19

Hello! I am trying to compile a build of ffmpeg on macOS X 10.6.8. My hope is to eventually get a statically linked binary which is also Snow Leopard compatible. I am using the following options: ./configure --cc=/usr/bin/clang --prefix=/opt/ffmpeg --extra-version=tessus --enable-avisynth --enable-fontconfig --enable-gpl --enable-libass --enable-libbluray --enable-libfreetype --enable-libgsm --enable-libmodplug --enable-libmp3lame --enable-libopenjpeg --enable-libopus --enable-librubberband --enable-libsnappy --enable-libsoxr --enable-libspeex --enable-libtheora --enable-libtwolame --enable-libvorbis --enable-libvpx --enable-libwavpack --enable-libwebp --enable-libx264 --enable-libx265 --enable-libxvid --enable-libzmq --enable-version3 --pkg-config-flags=--static --enable-nonfree --enable-libfdk-aac --extra-ldflags=-L/opt/local/lib The compilation fails at libavcodec/audiotoolboxenc.o. Hi ffmpeg, Please help me on this case: I use openwrt and ffmpeg without h264 and libx264. try to create m3u8 file on nginx. I run command: ffmpeg -loglevel verbose -re -i /dev/video0 -acodec libmp3lame -ar 44100 -ac 1 -f flv rtmp://localhost:1935/hls/movi It's not working, can't create m3u8 file. When I change to linux with -vcodec h264, it's working, but on openwrt we don't have codecs. Thanks

Verifying lossless rewrapping/transcoding in one step?
by Peter B. 11 Aug '19

11 Aug '19

Hi everyone :) I was wondering if maybe there's a quicker way to verify lossless transcoding or container rewrapping than these 3 steps: 1. generate content hash during transcoding. 2. generate content hash of output file. 3. diff source-hash with output-hash (using whatever diff-tool). I'm doing this in bash scripts, but I'm wondering if it would be possible to tell ffmpeg something like this: "Please generate the output and compare source and target's content hash and only return exit code 0 if they match" Is that already implemented, or would it be possible to do that? Thank you very much in advance, Peter B.
