Hello, what is the command to put a wav-Sound file lossless into a mov-File in order to upload it correctly to youtube? For example, this does *not* work for youtube ffmpeg.exe -i music.wav -acodec copy upload.mov Thx

expressions in -bsf

How do I do the equivalent of this: pts = pts==504223732 ? 504219978 : pts; in '-bsf' in Windows? I can't figure it out. I've tried: -bsf setts=pts='eq(pts\,504223732)504219978' -bsf setts=pts='if(eq(pts\,504223732)\,504219978\,pts)' -bsf 'if(eq(pts\,504223732),setts=pts=504219978)' and many, many variations. There are zero usage examples in the docs. Correct structure and correct quote-usage and the scope of the various 'pts's (input -v- output) are unknown. Thanks! --Mark.

Finding matching frames in a single video

I'm trying to use ffmpeg to find timestamps of a video where a given screenshot can be found. Let's say of 30m video, there's a title card at 00:07:00, so I extract that frame as an image with: ffmpeg -i INPUT -qmin 1 -qscale:v 1 -vframes 00:07:00 -f image2 match.png Now I want to find any frames in a video stream that roughly match that captured frame. I'm using this ffmpeg command: ffmpeg -i INPUT.mkv -loop 1 -i match.png -an -filter_complex "blend=difference:shortest=1,blackframe=90:20" -f null - Now I think it's sort of working, but I have a few questions: - Can anyone offer any better commands for what I'm trying to accomplish. All of these commands were found via search and trial and error - The output of the second command shows all of the frames that match, so I think I can parse that output to determine how many contiguous matches there are, but the output is given in frames, pts and t. I assume t means time, but the t value does not correspond at all to the actual timestamp format (00:00:00) of the video. How can I convert the t value into the actual timestamp format? - Can anyone offer any help or documentation on how the blend/difference filter works? Problems with old TV - Can I decode a new file and re-encode to an older version of a codec?

Five years ago, I've bought an inexpensive Samsung TV (ue55nu7099) and I'm using it to watch from minidlna server. I'm not very happy with the firmware player, but it's bearable and I don't want to use an external player. The TV can access the local network but is blocked from internet access. From the beginning, the TV was very picky about the encoding of media files but I found out, that I can make just any file playable when I re-encode it with this command: > ffmpeg -i INPUT.mkv -c:v h264 -pix_fmt yuv420p -c:a ac3 OUTPUT.mkv This stopped working a few weeks back. The TV started to skip frames and sometimes even froze without being able to recover. I was able to solve that by installing an older static version of ffmpeg. > /usr/local/bin/ffmpeg-6.0-amd64-static/ffmpeg -i INPUT.mkv -c:v h264 > -pix_fmt yuv420p -c:a ac3 OUTPUT.mkv Again, it's working perfect when I'm re-encoding any file that isn't too new. I am still having some (less severe) problems with some very new files. I am not sure, but I suspect that this older version of ffmpeg can't decode those new files perfectly. Is it possible to use an updated and new version of ffmpeg for decoding a media file and then re-encoding it with an older version of the codecs, so that my TV can handle it?

I am trying to decode mpeg TS over UDP with subtitle stream into SDI port.
