Hi I have a query on last question:http://ffmpeg.sourceforge.net/legal.php Q: Since FFmpeg is licensed under the LGPL, is it perfectly all right to incorporate the whole FFmpeg core into my own commercial product?
It is clear that we need to pay for a commercial product. What is the % of the amount to pay? And is MPEG-LA the only authority to pay?
The purpose of MPEG-LA is to be a one-stop place to pay your MPEG fees. Check out http://mpegla.com for more authoritative information than we can offer.
id say ask a lawyer not mpeg-la or us, we have no clue and mpeg-la will probably claim that you need to pay them even if theres no legal basis for it in your country or with the codec you use [...] -- Michael
