i can't get into any more details except to say ffmpeg is the core component of our freeware player. ffmpeg is not used in the commercial aspects.
Please note that, if you build a GPL'ed version of ffmpeg and include it with your software, you also have to release your software under GPL and therefore make *its* source code available. -- G.
