Any idea to avoid B frames?
Hi,all, When converting other formats to wmv format, I'd like to encode it with I frame and P frame,and not using B frame. How could I do with FFmpeg? Thx. _________________________________________________________________ ???? MSN Explorer: http://explorer.msn.com/lccn/

It's strange, because if I try to encode with wmv1 or wmv2 (WMV 3 encoder isn't supported) I get: sds at santefisi ~/s/m/samples> ffmpeg -i input.mpeg -bf 5 -vcodec wmv2 -acodec wmav2 -f asf -y output.asf FFmpeg version SVN-r10230, Copyright (c) 2000-2007 Fabrice Bellard, et al. configuration: --prefix=/home/sds --mandir=/home/sds/share/man --enable-gpl --enable-pp --enable-libfaad --enable-libfaac --enable-libamr-nb --enable-libamr-wb --enable-x11grab --enable-libmp3lame libavutil version: 49.5.0 libavcodec version: 51.42.0 libavformat version: 51.12.2 built on Aug 26 2007 11:11:53, gcc: 4.1.2 20061028 (prerelease) (Debian 4.1.1-19) Input #0, mpeg, from 'aikido-orig.mpeg': Duration: 00:00:53.3, start: 0.500000, bitrate: 923 kb/s Stream #0.0[0x1e0]: Video: mpeg1video, yuv420p, 720x576, 104857 kb/s, 25.00 fps(r) Stream #0.1[0x1c0]: Audio: mp2, 48000 Hz, stereo, 64 kb/s Output #0, asf, to 'aikido-bf5.asf': Stream #0.0: Video: wmv2, yuv420p, 720x576, q=2-31, 200 kb/s, 25.00 fps(c) Stream #0.1: Audio: wmav2, 48000 Hz, stereo, 64 kb/s Stream mapping: Stream #0.0 -> #0.0 Stream #0.1 -> #0.1 [wmv2 @ 0x84a9e48]b frames not supported by codec ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Error while opening codec for output stream #0.0 - maybe incorrect parameters such as bit_rate, rate, width or height So even forcing the use of B frames (-bf option) I can't get B frame in the output stream. Sorry,Stefana. I didn't describe my question clear. When I found B frames in MPEG, and something was wrong with it, so I thought the wmv had B frames too. Thx for your help! parameters such as bit_rate, rate, width or height
So even forcing the use of B frames (-bf option) I can't get B frame in the output stream.
How can you say there are B frames in the output stream?
