"*** AVview requires ffmpeg 0.4.8 If you are sure you are using correct version of ffmpeg check config.log for details" I have installed the latest svn: FFmpeg version SVN-r5823, Copyright (c) 2000-2004 Fabrice Bellard As I'm running Debian I also used their package, as well as their source which was: FFmpeg version CVS, Copyright (c) 2000-2004 Fabrice Bellard configuration: libavutil version: 49.0.0 libavcodec version: 51.8.0 libavformat version: 50.4.0 built on Jul 26 2006 22:55:28, gcc: 4.1.2 20060715 (prerelease) (Debian 4.1.1-9) The error remains the same. I downloaded ffmpeg 0.4.8, however it failed to compile. If anyone could walk me through a solution I would be ever grateful. I've been battling with this problem for three months now!
