I am using: ffmpeg version 0.4.9-pre1, build 4718, Copyright (c) 2000-2004 Fabrice Bellard built on Sep 29 2006 08:44:55, gcc: 3.4.2 [FreeBSD] 20040728 I would like to convert all .WMV to .AVI (or to .mpg). What is the correct command to do that? Let's say I have MY_BABY.WMV, how should I write the command? Thanks.

You might want to use somnething a little less prehistoric. That version is a couple of years old. http://ffmpeg.mplayerhq.hu/download.html

Depends on the audio and video codecs you want to use to encode the data you're going to multiplex into the AVI or MPG container, and on the sound and picture quality you're aiming for (bitrates etc.). -- G.
