Hi, if I understand http://www.dcine.com/sightings.html correctly, there allready is DVCPRO HD support in ffmpeg since march 2007? As my current SVN-checkout does not like it nonetheless, do I need to issue any special configure options to enable that codec? Or doesn't ffmpeg support it? cu Stefan

I have asked myself the same thing. I have not found any traces of DVCPRO HD in the code :-( Maybe we need to ask Daniel Maas what happened to the code... -- /Jimmy Engelbrecht Team Manager / Chief Engineer Ardendo AB +46703098922
The code is finished and I am in the process of cleaning it up for submission. Regards, Dan * Jimmy Engelbrecht (jimmy at ardendo.se) wrote:

Cool! I'd be happy to assist with integration. Thanks, Roman. P.S. I'm really glad you're back!
How is it going with the DVCPRO HD merge ? /Jimmy Dan Maas wrote:

Hi Jimmy - Still going to be a while, sorry, unless someone (Roman?) can help with the patch. I got detailed feedback from the ffmpeg maintainers (check ffmpeg-devel archives, which includes the latest patch and their comments). However I'm in the middle of two intense projects right now, plus applying to grad schools, so my time is very limited. Dan * Jimmy Engelbrecht (jimmy at ardendo.se) wrote:

Very much the same story on my end. I'm working with the patch but the progress is *very* slow. As I mentioned earlier, I'd be more than happy if someone could step up and help with the merge. Is GSOC a good match for this kind of activity? Thanks, Roman.

cu Stefan
There's some support for DVCPRO25 and 50. Not for HD ,AFAIK. It was never implemented I think... Luc

Dan Mass was supposed to implement it as part of his commercial contract but I haven't heard from him since last year. In short -- no it is not implemented yet. Thanks, Roman. P.S. Anybody willing to donate equipment/spec? ;-)
