How to have libavcodec smaller ?
Hello, I have a /usr/lib/libavcodec.so.52.77.0 which size is 3.5Mb. I need to have it smaller. I need to know what are the 5 most used codecs ? And how can I compile it to have it smaller ? Thank you in advance. Cheers.

YOU must know what codecs you use and all other are not needed in your binary, it is not relevant in this case was anybody other uses
And how can I compile it to have it smaller ?
./configure --help

And configure --enable-small --disable-decoders --disable-encoders --enable-decoder= ... --enable-encoder that is you can deselect all the decoders and encoders, and explicitely select only the ones you need. -- ffmpeg-user random tip #19 X11 session recording with ffmpeg: ffmpeg -f oss -i /dev/audio -f x11grab -s $WIDTHx$HEIGHT -r 5 -i :0.0 \ x11-session.avi Use xdpyinfo to get WIDTH and HEIGHT values.
