Should be -b 64k.
I tried it with 64k and 64000, but the error persists.

This install isn't made from a SVN. It's directly installed from the Gentoo Portage Package manager. Now i installed subversion and compiled the latest version of ffmpeg with the --enable-memalign-hack option. Now it says "FFmpeg version SVN-r10251, Copyright (c) 2000-2007 Fabrice Bellard, et al." and its doing the encoding job fine. Just one hint: now i have to use the "-acodec libamr_nb" option, before it was "-acodec amr_nb". But it works fine. Merci :) David

Well, that's why the first thing required, nay *demanded* of people reporting a problem, is that they upgrade to latest and *prove it*: because there is a 50% chance (at least!) the problem is already fixed!

Yes, the convention is now enforced that non-native codecs are named "libsomething".
But it works fine.
Merci :)
