This is a possible bug in ffmpeg not mplayer though, so it really belongs on the ffmpeg mailing list. )

I think, i found bug in native ffmpeg svq3 decoder (see attached svq3_error.txt.gz) mplayer -v /mnt/cdrom1/hdc/Video/Beluga/BEluga_.mov -vc qtsvq3 works fine If everybody here can fix this ....
