Recording a playing vdeo from screen is something I would only ever do as a last resort. (Are you circumventing DRM? ;-)) Have you ever had a look at youtube-dl? Or if it's a live stream: Tried getting hold of the stream URL? (youtube-dl isn't successful with all sites though. And I wouldn't touch Fox "News" with a 10 foot pole. :-P) Moritz _______________________________________________ ffmpeg-user mailing list ffmpeg-user@ffmpeg.org http://ffmpeg.org/mailman/listinfo/ffmpeg-user To unsubscribe, visit link above, or email ffmpeg-user-request@ffmpeg.org with subject "unsubscribe". _______________________________________________ ffmpeg-user mailing list ffmpeg-user@ffmpeg.org http://ffmpeg.org/mailman/listinfo/ffmpeg-user To unsubscribe, visit link above, or email ffmpeg-user-request@ffmpeg.org with subject "unsubscribe".
Maybe I'm doing something wrong then. I tried OBS Studio and it recorded audio but no video(Kinda). It recorded my desktop, my mouse moves and everything else I need to do, just the image in the browser was a black screen. -----Original Message----- From: ffmpeg-user [mailto:ffmpeg-user-bounces@ffmpeg.org] On Behalf Of Simon Brown Sent: Friday, June 2, 2017 1:15 PM To: FFmpeg user questions <ffmpeg-user@ffmpeg.org> Subject: Re: [FFmpeg-user] Screen Capture - Windows 10 - making progress But OBS is free and should do the job without much effort.... Also, try popping out the browser tab into it's own window and capturing just that window, not the whole desktop. Pavel
