Mmm... How should this be documented.
Before UMH support, we had:

Based on your commit msg, does this meant that

size=-1 = uneven multi-hexagon search
negative size < -1 = shape adaptive diamond search
positive size = normal diamond search

Or is it simply:
negative size = uneven multi-hexagon search
positive size = normal diamond search
