Umm, while I know you can't resist an opportunity to flame Rich (and
this one is as good as it gets) ;), I'll have to step in on his behalf
here.  Alex started the discussion by asking/suggesting that we might
adopt this script for MPlayer, so the discourse between Nico and Rich
was strictly about MPlayer and not about FFmpeg, even though it was
taking place on an FFmpeg mailing list.

Don't be too sad, I'm sure you'll plenty of other opportunities in the
future ;)
