I can understand that you have a preference for short forms and I will
not and cannot force you to use one form or the other.  Nonetheless you
should be aware that short forms are generally too colloquial for
written English.  Also you have a tendency to mix up "it's" and "its".
A simple cure for this is to use "it is" instead of "it's".  Somehow
this magically fixes almost all related mistakes.  So my recommendation
for you would be to stick with "it is".
