Though I am loathe to admit it, I have to agree with Felker on this one.
MPEG is a rather important part of FFmpeg and I would not want to see it
hacked up too badly in order to support a fringe middleware format.

And this is coming from the biggest purveyor of fringe formats. I guess
I don't want to fringe formats to develop a reputation for being too
obtrusive.
