I don't have SVN commit access any longer, AFAIK. If I do, I don't know
the password.

There's also the fact that I'm not completely sure what *would* be a
good way of saying the "high complexity/speed loss" part (or even for
that matter that what you changed it to is not what was meant
originally, though it seems likely). Back when I was doing this sort of
thing more often, it was fairly common to discuss possible phrasings on
-cvslog before a commit was made...
