i did, its not always correct, svn was more correct for many cases
that was when i last tried which is a while ago.

also correct is correcter or equally correct than a guess, always
the only case where git can be better is when svn lacks the flexibility
to store true ancestry


but the core thing is we use svn, like we use C99
adding GNU specific things is not ok as it breaks some peoples build
in the same sense your behavior breaks some features of the repository 
for people using svn instead of git-svn.
This is not nice to these people
