This requires you to have additional libraries (libmp3lame and 
libvorbis) installed -- I suspect this may not be the case on your 
system. FAAD was probably failing for the same reason.

What happens if you use ./configure without any options? You should try 
and get this working first, then add the additional libraries one by one.
