yes, exactly, every project which doesnt support specifying the source?
directory is affected, adding support for that to every such project isnt
very practical ...

yes, many libs with many applications with auto* are affected,
solution 1: "fix" all applications
solution 2: "fix" all libs
solution 3: fix auto* so a "cd foobar; make" doesnt break it

the last is the only practical one, everything else is a never-ending
quest, OTOH if the ffmpeg build system maintainers want to add support for
that then iam fine with that too but it doesnt seem like they do ...
