The patch has been OKed by Michael if all reference samples still decode
after applying it.

So right now we have a handful of patches that can be applied pending a
little testing and passing regression tests.  All of them should go into
the release IMO.  So can everybody please adopt and check/apply one of
them?  A list of them would be helpful as well.
