The only lossless jpeg avi i have 
http://equinox.campus.ltu.se/samples/V-codecs/MJPEGs/pegasus_mjpeg/miss_congeniality_pegasus_ljpg.avi
have fourcc 'ljpg' and biCompression 'JPGL'.
