  Well, for MPEG we have -target dvd, etc. switches. They cover more than
  CODEC parameters though.

  On a similar note -- even though I don't really have a strong preference
  one way or the other but having a generic facility to attach an, if you 
  will, marketing name to a particular combination of CODEC parameters might 
  be a good way of solving it.

  Or we can simply expand -target ...
