The fact that the scart connector falls apart, is not nearly a big
problem as the fact the after a few years the TV set's connector starts
to fall apart as well.

Note on SECAM: for a reason I forgot (or didn't want to remember) it's
impossible to edit SECAM material. So they're actually using PAL
camera's and editing gear and then convert it to SECAM...
