that is an rfc, not a good implementation...

On my system it cuts a second of the 25 it takes to decode the file
present here http://dev.gentoo.org/~lu_zero/testcase/

Implementing a good fastcopy and using it would be useful overall (no
fastcopy for ppc yet ...)
