[Ffmpeg-devel] The Ffmpeg on Mac OS X Howto

This is a reminder I promised about a week ago about the article "Ffmpeg on
Mac OS X Howto," which is here:

Several issues were raised about the article and I have revised it
accordingly:

-Latest version of Ffmpeg writes FLV metadata, so the progress bar is fixed
in Jeroen Wijering's Flash Video Player:

Fixed.

-It is not neccesary to --disable-mmx to compile on the Intel Mac:

I got mixed results.  With today's SVN I can't compile with mmx, but I can't
compile with --disable-mmx either :(.  I am continuing to debug this issue
with the help of some people from the list.  Meanwhile, the article has been
updated to show that mmx *should* be fixed and, generally, that compile
errors are possible with the latest SVN.  Reference added to the mailing
list archives

-the -b parameter takes units of bits per second, not kilobits per second:

Fixed.  Added note that units are subject to change.

So, if you are still interested in linking to it, the article has now been
revised to reflect all the issues that were raised.  Please let me know if
anything else has come up.
